Call for Abstracts: International Conference on Business Ethics in Asia

Call for Abstracts: International Conference on Business Ethics in Asia

NEW DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS:

10 DECEMBER 2025

I. CONFERENCE BACKGROUND AND THEME

On the request of the International Society of Business, Economics, and Ethics (ISBEE)

and in association with seven regional business ethics networks around the world, the

Global Survey of Business Ethics 2022-2024 (GSBE) was organized and published by

Bryan Robinson (South Africa) and Georges Enderle (USA) in September 2024 in three

volumes in print and open access (To download, click on Global Series No. 19: Africa;

No. 20: Asia, Australia, Russia, South and North America; No. 21: Europe). Over 100

scholars collaborated in GSBE and authored 34 Country- and Regional-Reports. This was

the first step of this global project and has been followed by three more steps because this

investigation is meant to reach a much broader readership than just readers in libraries.

The second step was the publication of these reports in high-quality journals: Asian

Journal of Business Ethics, African Journal of Business Ethics, Business and Professional

Ethics Journal (two issues) and Zeitschrift für Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik

(Journal for Business, Economics & Ethics). The third step is the presentation of the

reports at conferences in 2025-2026 in Africa, Asia and Europe and the fourth step will be

the presentation of the findings of the conversations in different continents in July 2026 at

the World Congress of ISBEE in Yaounde, Cameroon.

The planned International Conference on Business Ethics in Asia (Spring 2026) is part of

the third step of this global project and presented here in some detail. Its purpose is to

bring together the reporters in person from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan,

Indonesia, Philippines, India and Australia in order to explore and answer two questions

of Business Ethics in Asia:

(1) What can we learn from each other?

(2) How should we advance business ethics in Asia?
